The National Institute of Mushroom Research Technology (NIMRT), one of the well-known and prestigious Mushroom  institution for higher learning in the country.

The NIMRT shall primarily give professional and technical training in Mushroom  farming  and mechanic providing advanced instruction and promoting research in Mushroom  sciences, technology .

Mushroom Research focuses on improving medicinal & commercial mushroom production through disease control and studying and manipulating microbial ecology and population dynamics during the composting process. NIMRT  is one of the research facilities  dedicated to mushroom research.
